Service Time

Sundays 10:00 AM

(9:30 AM in summer)

What should I expect?

When you walk into Bellevue Reformed Church, you'll be greeted at the doors to the Sanctuary before entering for service. We follow the traditional Reformed Church service, with a welcome, call to worship, prayer of confession, children's message, Scripture reading, and a sermon (with music in between). Communion is offered to all once a month.

What should I wear?

One of the beautiful things about our congregation is that we believe everyone is welcome. Our dress code is therefore pretty casual (including the Pastor). You'll see a range of jeans and t-shirts to full suit and tie. Come in whatever you feel most comfortable wearing!

Can my children stay in service with me?

If you prefer for your children to stay in the service, they are welcome to. We also have childcare available for children under age 3 and Sunday School available most weeks during the school year for children 3 - 6th grade.

How does Communion work?

Our church has Communion on the third Sunday of each month. All are welcome to participate (including children of all ages). Membership is not required.

When Communion starts, the Pastor will speak about the sacraments. When the music starts, you may feel free to walk up the aisle to take Communion when you are ready. As you approach, hold out your hands cupped to receive the bread. You will then walk to the left or right to take the grape juice (non-alcoholic).

We ask you take the sacraments there at the front of the church, and leave your empty cup in the tray of the front pew. Once all who wish to participate in Communion have taken the sacraments, including the servers and Pastor, Communion will conclude with a congregational prayer.

Servers will also be walking around the Sanctuary to offer Communion to those who prefer to remain in their pews.

Is someone available to pray for me?

If you're in need of prayer, two members of our Prayer Team are always available after worship to pray for you. They'll be standing by the baptism font in the front of the Sanctuary.

Prayer Request cards are also available in the back of your pew (a blue card). If you prefer to write your prayer request, you can place it in the basket to the left on your way out of the Sanctuary. A small prayer box is also set in the Narthex for prayer requests. Our Prayer Team will pray for you.
